Create Project

Role: Project Management Admin and Project Management Officer

This form is used to register a new project workspace in Arkbox so resources, users, and activities can be organized under it.

Project Name Required​

  • The official name of the project.
  • This becomes the primary label everywhere in Arkbox, such as lists, filters, and reports.

Example: Name Project

Project Code​

  • Internal tracking code for reporting or documentation.
  • Helpful when your organization uses structured project IDs.

Example: PRJ-001, BT-BOOK-CHAPTER

Project Type Required​

  • Select the project type that best matches the work you are creating.
  • The project type is configured earlier in Admin → Project Management → Project Type.
  • It helps ArkBox organise projects clearly across project lists, filters, and reports.
  • It also controls project behaviour in some workflows.
  • If Bible is selected, the Team Leader field appears as an optional field.

Project Manager Required​

  • The person responsible for the project.
  • This user gets management visibility and accountability.
  • This field is always required and is not conditional.

Conditional Field: Team Leader Optional​

  • This field appears only when the Project Type selected is Bible.
  • The Team Leader can be assigned for workflow coordination.
  • This field is optional.

Leave Policy Optional​

  • Select the leave policy to associate with the project.
  • This controls which holidays, off-days, and working hours are used when calculating the project's duration and active working days.
  • If no leave policy is selected, the system calculates duration using standard calendar days.

Planned Start Date Required​

  • Intended start date.
  • Used for timeline tracking and dashboards.

Planned End Date Required​

  • Intended completion date.
  • Enables progress and delay monitoring.

Comments Optional​

  • Add helpful project details, notes, or internal context.
  • Visible to anyone viewing project details.

Example: Location: Chennai office. Priority: High. Customer: Internal training team.

What Happens After You Click Create Project​

  1. Arkbox creates a dedicated project space.
  2. The project appears in project lists and filters.
  3. Resources, users, and tasks can now be linked to this project.
  4. Reporting and tracking start based on the dates and the assigned manager.
